Pokerroom.com is one of the oldest sites on the web. It has been online since 1999. They are one of the few sites that can be played with webtv and can be played without downloading.  Although recently thaey have added a downloadable version with better graphics.  The non downloadable version is done with Java.  Pokerroom.com has several loyal players as many of the old timers started out there. Pokerroom.com has constantly been upgrading and improving their software.  Pokerroom.com reminds me of Binions.  It may not be the best on the net, but it certainly is legendary.  It is a really good site for anyone who wants a good Texas Holdem game.

They do have some pretty neat and detailed characters sitting at the table but you have no real choice in who you can be.  It is dependant upon where you sit, similar to PartyPoker.
